LifeHope Healing Med Spa Talks Fillers and Nonsurgical Facelifts

Q: What is a nonsurgical facelift?

A: This is one of the most exciting treatment options available for my patients for facial rejuvenation. By incorporating injectable fillers such as the Juvederm, Restylane, RHA Collection, Sculptra, Radiesse and/or PDO threads I can re-volumize depleted areas of the face while also taking in to account the uniqueness of the individual I am treating and define the contours to their beautiful shape.

Q: Are threads like fillers?

A: Threads are very safe and have been used for over 30 years, although they have seen significant improvements in the past 10 years with regards to their ability to lift lax and sagging skin.  Threads are similar to those used in surgical procedures and will dissolve over a period of 12 to 18 months. There are two types of threads. Smooth threads spot treat areas where fine lines and wrinkles are a concern, and then there are lifting threads.  Threads can be used in the jawline, neck, cheek and eye area.  This innovative option allows instant yet profound results while reducing pain and trauma to the area being treated.  This option gives patients the benefit of a shorter recovery time and provides an alternative for those who may not be ready for surgery or are requesting non-surgical alternatives.

Q: What is your favorite area to treat?

A: Most recently it would be the neck. I have found Radiesse to be a significant game-changer for women with aging concerns in this sensitive area. Radiesse is a robust filler and can be used to smooth and fill the jawline, neck and decolletage. Results will last from 12 to 18 months in most patients. For the neck and decolletage, you can combine both fillers and threads for a beautiful result.
