Children Helping Children LoveFest: A Family-Friendly Holiday Event That Gives Back

This December 4, Atlanta families are invited to step into a world of music, magic and meaningful giving at the 2025 Winter Children Helping Children LOVEFEST. Designed to ignite generosity in kids and teens, the event blends festive fun with hands-on opportunities to learn how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact.

From the moment families arrive, the experience feels like stepping into a holiday celebration with heart. Children can snap photos with Santa, meet Minty the Elf, and enjoy a lineup of joyful performances from some of Atlanta’s most talented young artists. This year’s stage features performances by the dancers at Moving in the Spirit alongside carols from The Trinity School Choir and The Georgia Boy Choir in the spirit of the season.

One of the most anticipated moments is the LoveFest Fashion Show, benefitting Gigi’s PlayHouse, a local nonprofit offering safety and support to girls escaping trafficking. Young models take the runway in a celebration of confidence, creativity and community purpose—showing firsthand how kids can use their talents to uplift others.

Throughout the Children Helping Children LOVEFEST, families can participate in interactive activities that teach compassion through action. Children Helping Children has long championed the idea that philanthropy isn’t reserved for adults; it’s something children can practice early, often and joyfully. That message culminates in the beloved Invite & Ignite The Light countdown, where kids and teens gather together to set intentions for how they’ll give back in 2026—whether through volunteering, fundraising or simply being a source of care in their own communities—as the community Christmas tree is lit.

This year also marks a meaningful new partnership for Best Self Atlanta. LoveFest is the first featured charity in our Over 40 & Fabulous Gives Back Series, an initiative launching this year that will spotlight and support a different local nonprofit each season. Giving back has long been at the core of our Over 40 & Fabulous community, and we’re thrilled to join forces with Children Helping Children (founded by 2015 Over 40 & Fabulous cover winner Michelle Hodgson) to highlight the extraordinary impact their programs have on families across the city.

Hosted with the support of Over 40 & Fabulous partners Bob Steele Salon and Park82, Winter LoveFest 2025 promises an afternoon of inspiration, connection and shared purpose. Whether your family is eager for holiday fun or looking for new ways to give back, this event offers something special for everyone. Join us on December 4 and help your family start the season by giving the gift of light.
