Vaughn Pierro, The Grounded Healer

Spend five minutes with Vaughn Pierro, and you’ll understand why people call her presence medicine. A somatic and embodiment guide, breathwork teacher and retreat leader, Vaughn has spent the past decade helping others release what holds them back and reconnect with their truest selves. Through her healing circles and one-on-one work, she’s inspired countless people to transform pain into peace and return home to their bodies. Guided by intuition, Vaughn believes healing isn’t about becoming someone new, it’s about remembering who you’ve been all along.

What first drew you to breathwork and somatic healing?

From the very beginning, the breath was a transformational experience for me. It awakened me to healing, truth and connection in a way nothing else had. As I deepened in this work, somatic healing became the natural next step as the embodiment of what the breath revealed. I knew this was my calling because the breath and the body are not separate from who I am—they are the medicine I’m here to share.

Before helping others, how did these practices impact your own life and healing journey?

Learning to use my breath as medicine has been the most powerful tool in becoming my best self. It reconnected me to my body, my truth, and my spirit. Breathwork didn’t just help me heal, it brought me home to myself and gave me the courage to live fully and unapologetically.

What makes collective healing so different from doing work alone?

Healing through community has been one of the greatest, unexpected gifts of my journey. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable by sharing our emotions, fears and dreams, we remember we are not alone. The veil of separation lifts, and it becomes easier to live in our authentic truth and essence.

What advice would you give those in their 20s and 30s?

Trust yourself. Your intuition is the wisest guide you’ll ever have. Trial and error is part of the process, so be willing to take risks, make mistakes and follow those nudges that scare you. They’re usually pointing you toward your greatest growth and freedom.

What’s the secret to aging?

Unconditional self-love. When you stop abandoning yourself and embrace who you are in every season, you shine from the inside out. I admire women in entertainment who are boldly embracing aging. Our generation is rewriting what beauty looks like, and it’s magnetic and graceful.
