These individuals are passionate about being their best selves and using their unique strengths to give back to their community. Kim Parkman
Kim Parkman has a heart for children. The entrepreneur spent 10 years serving children through positions on school governance boards. When closure of her neighborhood school was announced, she went into action, helping form a committee to save it. Fresh off a battle with breast cancer, she fought to advocate for the community. While ultimately the school closed, she pivoted and is now one of the founders of a non-profit that will open Sandy Springs’ first charter school.

Over 40 & Fabulous Top 10 honorees are selected through public voting. The overall cover winner is then chosen with input from a panel of past Over 40 alumni and members of our editorial staff. This structure is designed to ensure fairness and prevent any individual from having undue influence over the process.
