Marsha Glover—I have always been very shy about accolades and compliments. I think because I feel as though I could do more, so thank yous’ are premature. In addition, I used to think instead of highlighting my work with accolades I can use that spotlight to uplift someone else. Being Over 40 and fabulous to me means embracing my achievements and being an example for my children. I want my children to know that my success or achievements are because I believe in paying it forward and it will come back to you twice as much. I live by the philosophy what makes you legendary is the impact you have on others. I am proud of my achievements in my past career as a registered nurse as well as my new career as the Executive Director for Kile’s Beautiful Mind (KBM). KBM allows me the opportunity to impact children in the community and my reward is the children’s success. It’s one thing to impact the lives of your own children but it’s another to reach outside your arms-length and impact children in the community aka the village. Please vote for me.
