Nicole Harmon: Revolutionizing Workspaces Through Wellness

Nicole Harmon believes that wellness and productivity don’t have to be at odds. As the founder of Wello Works, a wellness-centered coworking space in Atlanta, she’s made it her mission to create environments where professionals can thrive both personally and professionally. By integrating wellness breaks and community-driven events into the workplace, Harmon is challenging traditional office culture and proving that work-life balance is achievable.

What inspired you to integrate wellness into a coworking space?

Honestly, life is too busy, and work-life balance feels like an urban legend at this point. Between work, meetings and everything else on our plates, self-care is usually the first thing to get pushed aside. We wanted to make wellness a no-brainer—something you don’t have to think about or plan for, but something you can actually do in the middle of your day. That’s why we created the Wello—our version of a wellness break that takes 20 minutes or less. Our space is designed to make taking care of yourself as easy as grabbing another cup of coffee—except way more beneficial.

How is Wello Works different from other coworking spaces?

At Wello Works we combine work and wellness in a way that actually makes sense. Instead of just giving you a place to grind through your day, we help you feel good while doing it. We have built-in wellness breaks with meditation pods, saunas, massage chairs— you name it. So, when you step away from your desk, you’re not just scrolling TikTok, you’re actually resetting your mind and body. And that’s a game changer.

What advice would you give to professionals looking to prioritize wellness at work?

Treat it like a non-negotiable meeting, because if you don’t, it’ll get pushed to the bottom of your to-do list again. Block out time for movement, meditation or simply stepping away from your desk. Small, intentional breaks can make a huge difference in your focus, energy and overall well-being. It’s the difference between pushing through and actually thriving. No one’s ever said, “Wow, skipping my break today made me so much better at my job.”

What’s your long-term vision for Wello Works?

We want to expand into more cities and eventually create a network of wellness-focused coworking spaces. More than anything, though, our ultimate goal is impact. Whether we have two locations or twenty, if we can help more people find balance, avoid burnout and create a better work-life experience, we’ll consider that a success.
