LaCrisha Burton Saba, Cultivating a Community of Giveback Queens

LaCrisha Burton Saba learned the importance of giving back at an early age. The experience of her parents opening their home to foster care and serving their community through church shaped her into who she is today. As a former Mrs. Georgia United States and Mrs. Georgia America, this avid philanthropist founded With Love Global, a nonprofit raising awareness for various initiatives throughout Georgia, and Global Continental National Pageants, a competition created to cultivate a compassionate sisterhood.
How do you utilize your platform with Global Continental National Pageants to empower women and girls?
LaCrisha Burton Saba: The goal of the pageant is to give young girls and women a platform to flourish. We have open discussions about our goals, mental health, illnesses, and so much more. I always try to make sure they feel appreciated, happy, beautiful, and loved! If your heart is set on something, you will have the entire Global Continental National Pageants staff and sisterhood with their hands on your back. It’s a beautiful thing!
As an advocate for volunteerism, why is it important to you for people to get involved in their communities?
LaCrisha Burton Saba: Without volunteers, many of the services and events we enjoy in our communities wouldn’t be so readily available, especially in lower-income areas. Volunteering gives you a different perspective on the world and the people in it. It teaches humans to be empathetic, understanding, loving and most importantly, grateful!
What goals do you hope to achieve with both Global Continental National Pageants and With Love Global?
LaCrisha Burton Saba: I am working to extend both – pageant and nonprofit – to the international market within the next two to four years. The pageant already has a day for volunteering built into our current national schedule, but I would love to take my girls on mission trips in the future.
Outside of work, what do you love to do in your free time?
LaCrisha Burton Saba: I enjoy traveling. My husband and I have visited 60+ countries and counting. I love volunteering with so many other organizations when With Love Global is not conducting an event. I give back to the community through my time, fundraising and donating to various causes.
