I was feeling fairly nervous about the Halo Pro Laser treatment because I didn’t know what to expect. The procedure begins by applying a topical anesthetic to reduce any sensations felt on the face. The anesthetic is followed by measuring and photographing the skin with motion tracking technology. This machinery helps the staff to evenly treat the skin based on the needs of each client.
During the treatment, there was minimal discomfort because the numbing cream was effective. The practitioners, Judy Paredes, L.M.E., and Tessa Bell, L.M.E., also let me know exactly what they were doing and what to expect it to feel like. There is a small feeling of discomfort from the heat and prickling of the laser, but for the most part, it was painless. Afterward, my face remained warm for the next hour and it felt like I had a slight sunburn. The next morning, I had some swelling under the eyes but nothing terribly drastic.
My results were spectacular! I could tell I had more of a glow and saw a reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and brown spots from sun exposure. Halo combines deep dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal and creates amazing results to reverse years of damage without the downtime of more aggressive types of treatment. Results can be seen as soon as two to five days after the treatment. Most patients see the greatest improvement in decreases in pigmentation caused by sun damage in the first two to three weeks.
After looking at my skin under the UV light, I will definitely be more diligent about wearing sunscreen every day. We don’t realize the amount of sun exposure we are getting on a daily basis simply by driving our cars. I highly recommend the experience with OPAL and cannot wait to see my continued results.

As with any skin care regimen, consistency is the key to overall good results. A consistent daily regimen of cleansing, moisturizing and protection against the sun is a must. Also, don’t forget to get your skin screened in support of good health and skin cancer awareness month.
