Day 11 of Healthy, Beautiful Skin: Annie Paschal’s Daily Skin Care Routine
By: Annie Paschal
I’m usually a minimalist when it comes to all things beauty. I don’t wear a lot of makeup and my hair dries naturally straight. I’m blessed to have skin that is not usually acne-prone but I do struggle with balancing over drying and oiliness. Here are my quick tips and go-to products for healthy, beautiful skin.
Take care of your face in the shower.
Why create an extra step? I like to use a face scrub while I’m in the shower. Thanks to the hot water, my pores are open and it’s easier to wash off the scrub. My favorite is the St. Ives Apricot Scrub (blemish control). The brand has different variations for what your skin might need.
Wash your body with an exfoliating brush.
I like to use any Dr. Teal’s shower gels because they smell amazing and contain Epsom salt, which helps soothe muscles. Once you have exfoliated and all of the dead skin is gone, your skin will be prepped for lotion when you get out of the shower. I love the Hempz Vanilla Plum Herbal Body Lotion.
Use a night cream.
I’m only 24 so it may seem early for me to even be thinking about this but one of the best ways to avoid looking aged is to keep your skin moisturized. A night cream helps seal in moisture while you sleep so you look refreshed in the morning.
