Brandi Rhodes, Trailblazing Entrepreneur and Voice for Inclusion

Brandi Rhodes

Brandi Rhodes has never shied away from breaking barriers. As the founder of Naked Mind Yoga + Pilates and the first Black woman to hold an executive position in a North American wrestling corporation, Brandi has built a career defined by resilience and empowerment. Whether she’s creating inclusive wellness spaces, advocating for sensory-friendly environments or mentoring women of color, Brandi’s mission is clear: to uplift others and foster meaningful change.

What were the biggest challenges to success in a male-dominated industry?
Three things some people really didn’t want to see succeed in the wrestling industry: Black, female and educated. I was the trifecta. People took shots continuously because they were threatened. But that didn’t stop me. I stayed about my business and allowed my work to speak for itself. You can outrun drama kings and queens. I laced my shoes up and left them in the dust.

How have you used your platform and influence to create opportunities for others?
I’m passionate about seeing all women succeed in wrestling. It has been a long road for all of us, and every hard-working woman deserves a chance. These days you’re seeing so many women of color becoming recognized and finally receiving their flowers. I’m here for all of it. One of the best ways to support these women is to watch them. I watch them. I support them and as simple as it is, I send them mad love on social media. Every positive voice counts!

What do you love most about being over 40?
There’s something about this milestone that unlocks an awareness. It’s a beautiful self-awareness that we are all uniquely and wonderfully created human beings. You stop worrying so much about how you measure up and start thinking about how you can truly change the world. It’s the best time of my life so far.

How do you give back to others?
Through KultureCity, we raised money through sponsorships and sales to create sensory rooms in event spaces and public places. Being able to contribute the Wilkins Rhodes Sensory Room to the Georgia Aquarium is one of the best things I’ve ever been able to do.  Working with The American Red Cross has also been phenomenal. I walked in New York Fashion Week this year to raise money through their Go Red For Women and Heart Health campaign and it was everything I ever dreamed of. Recently, I’ve also worked to give back to The Drake House and Table On Delk.
