Best Self Celebrates 14 Years

It feels like just yesterday that we started our journey with Best Self Atlanta. While I don’t have a copy of the August 2009 inaugural issue to share with you, the memories of the covers and the remarkable individuals we have encountered over the past 14 years remain vivid in my mind.

Our initial goals for Best Self were straightforward: to create a magazine that provides valuable information and inspiration, empowering individuals to become the best versions of themselves and embrace a life of fulfillment. What we have accomplished, however, surpasses my wildest expectations. We have succeeded in building a genuine community—a supportive network of individuals who have not only supported one another but have also extended their help to others. Through our efforts, we have fostered connections that have transformed businesses, cultivated enduring friendships, and, in numerous instances, changed lives.

The profound impact of our Best Self community humbles me greatly. I frequently receive messages from you, sharing stories of the incredible individuals you have encountered through our platform—individuals who have enriched your lives in immeasurable ways. Many of these connections have blossomed into long-term friendships, and the spirit of kindness has permeated our Atlanta community through collaborative endeavors.

We are more than just a magazine; we are a force for good and giving back. I invite you to join us in October for a momentous occasion: A Night of Amazing Give Back, as we commemorate the 13th Annual Over 40 & Fabulous! Cover Winner Reveal. Together, we will raise funds for your favorite causes through a Dazzling Fashion Show and an enriching Wellness Expo. But above all, our purpose remains rooted in fostering connections and uplifting one another. By coming together, we can continue making a positive impact and spreading goodness throughout our community.
