Ravi Kahan, The Visionary Builder

Ravi Kahan has never been one to stay in one lane. A serial entrepreneur since the age of 10, the Dunwoody-based father of two has spent decades turning big ideas into real-world impact. Now, with TY Healthspan—a first-of-its-kind wellness and longevity center opening in 2025—he’s reimagining what it means to truly thrive. Ravi’s passion for innovation is matched only by his dedication to community, from raising over $50,000 for children’s cancer research to mentoring young entrepreneurs. Grounded in family, curiosity and growth, he’s proof that building a business and building a legacy can go hand in hand.

What’s the best lesson parenting has taught you about leadership?

Patience. Most people are doing the best they can with the tools they have. Allow people to stumble, attempt things on their own and encourage them to ask for help when they hit hurdles Celebrate wins, no matter how small they may be. Encourage people to challenge themselves. Growth is great for us as humans, but we often need a friendly reminder.

What role does community play in how you build and lead today?

More and more as I’ve gotten older and now as a parent. I want my family to thrive, and for us to achieve that, the community around us needs to be thriving too. Supporting local businesses, volunteering and helping our neighbors builds bonds that lift everyone. TY Healthspan was created with that in mind. How can we elevate wellness and health in a way that impacts the whole community, not just one person at a time?

What keeps you giving back to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation each year?

It’s a joy that I get to share with my family, clients and friends. The process of fundraising for a great cause, the experience of shaving my head with friends and now my son (he’s on his second year of shaving at just 5 years old), is just so special and rewarding. Childhood cancer research gets so little funding compared to its impact. It is heartbreaking to hear about the stories and the impact it has on so many families. It is uplifting to see how research funded by St. Baldrick’s is helping turn that tide.

What inspired your health transformation, and what advice would you give to others?

I went through some life challenges which allowed me to evaluate who I was, who I had been and really think about who I want to be. There is a great quote I read during that period: “If you want to know your past life, look into your present condition. If you want to know your future life, look at your present actions.” After 40, you possess wisdom that you didn’t have earlier in life. It takes a solid commitment of time, money and sacrifices to prioritize health. But what good are your successes if you’re not healthy enough to enjoy them?
