It’s Givin’ Brunch: Charity Brunch at Thompson Atlanta – Buckhead

Get ready to brunch with a purpose at Thompson Atlanta – Buckhead’s It’s Givin’ Brunch! This stylish charity event takes place on November 24 from 11 am to 3 pm at the stunning rooftop restaurant Tessarae, where sweeping city views meet a delicious brunch menu crafted to give back. In support of the Atlanta-based nonprofit Children Helping Children (CHC), founded by Michelle Hodgson, an inspiring Over 40 & Fabulous Alumni, this brunch is more than just a meal—it’s a chance to make a difference in the lives of young Atlantans. With 10% of all brunch sales going directly to CHC, guests can indulge while supporting a cause that champions giving back, creativity and leadership in children.

Former Buckhead schoolteacher and CHC founder Michelle Hodgson created the organization in 2008 with a single vision: to teach kids how to make a meaningful impact. “What we like to do is highlight what makes each kid special, whether it’s music, art, math or writing. We use it as a way to get them motivated to give that particular thing back,” Hodgson explains. Through CHC, children have opportunities to become leaders by joining the Junior Board of Directors where they research and connect with local charities that serve children. Each year, 12 kids from diverse backgrounds are selected to join this board, taking on leadership roles and championing causes that matter to them.
