An anticipated 3,000 Girls on the Run participants, coaches and community members will take part in the Girls on the Run 5K on Saturday, December 3. For the more than 1,300 girls and 400 volunteer coaches participating in the fall Girls on the Run (3^rd to 5^th grade) and Heart & Sole (6^th to 8^th grade) programs, the 5K celebration is the culmination of the 12-week season where girls participate in lessons to foster confidence, build peer connections and encourage service, all while preparing to walk, run or skip a 5K. This is the first time the 5K celebration will take place at The Battery Atlanta® – home of Truist Park and the Atlanta Braves^TM.
