Josh A. Hammel, MD
Board-Certified Dermatologist & Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeon
Dr. Hammel has an extensive background in dermatological research and specialized training in surgical dermatology, including the use of advanced plastic surgery repair techniques. A native of Marietta, Georgia, Dr. Hammel graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Tech and received his medical doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine. He then trained for two years in plastic surgery at Southern Illinois University and completed dermatology residency at the University of Iowa. Dr. Hammel additionally completed a two-year dermatological clinical research fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago as well as a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship at
the University of Texas Medical Branch.
