6 Ways to Stay Active and Social This Summer at Windy Hill Athletic Club
By Karen Foley
There are so many ways to take advantage of the sunny weather while at Windy Hill Athletic Club. Tennis is in full swing! Our Tennis In No Time program teaches beginners how to play in just 4 weeks. Plus, there are drills, adult instructional programs and socials to keep avid players and newbies on the court outdoors. Or, slow down the pace and relax by our resort-style pool. If you’re feeling adventurous, try our 50-foot rock climbing wall. Afterward, grab a drink and bite to eat at our café featuring summer specials.
2. Beat the Heat
Head to our fitness floors with boutique-style studios for yoga, barre, cycling, boxing and kickboxing classes, along with boot camps. We are also launching two new programs this summer called Aqua HIIT and Warrior. Not for the faint of heart, Aqua HIIT is a high-intensity interval training water aerobics class that features a variety of equipment and high-tempo music. You can now find this series on our Group X schedule. Warrior is hosted in our PIT studio and is also on the Group X schedule. This 45-minute class features 3 stations and incorporates cardio, work on the floor, and work with weights.
3. Mingle
Join us from 1-5 p.m. on June 16 for our Big Summer Bash pool party. Vino connoisseurs will love our Wednesday Wine Down from 7-9 p.m. on July 17. And in August, we’ll host a Back-to-School Party.
4. Go to Camp
Our camp programs run through August 3. Plus, we have a tennis camp!
5. Join a League
Make new friends in one of our sports leagues. Some of the most popular ones are the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA), the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and our Top Dog Sports Tennis league.
6. Find Your Fit
Everyone from singles to families and kids can get involved at Windy Hill Athletic Club during the summer months. Visit the club and see what is right for you and your crew.
