Steve Crossley: Senior Scientist and Inspiring Mentor
Steve Crossley, 53, is a senior scientist at an international chemical company. He’s been in Atlanta for his entire life and has called many neighborhoods home, but his favorite place to dwell is in the wisdom that you’re only as old as you act. On that belief, he and his wife live like teenagers, vying never to grow old.
What impact do you hope to leave on the world?
A program called The Legacy Discovery Weekend allowed me to realize my life’s purpose and my personal power, and it equipped me to create the legacy I’ve always wanted. I hope to inspire greatness and the knowledge that you matter and are enough and spread awareness that with just a little self-discovery and encouragement, you can create your best self.
What do you think has contributed most to your success in life?
Getting involved with Mentor Discover Inspire has changed my life. Here, I found a collective wisdom of men promoting positive attitude, abundance and commitment to serve the community. Personally, I’ve found a supportive culture that holds me accountable to my declarations and ups my game to achieve even greater success.
Do you have a favorite quote or mantra that you live by?
“Always do what tells a better story.” On a recent trip to the beach, after a long drive, it was getting late and my wife wanted to get room service and just call it a night. Spontaneously, I just asked, “What tells a better story? Couch and TV or a walk on the beach?” Needless to say, we grabbed some dinner, sat on the beach and watched the sunset! Always do what tells a better story.
